Performance of supervisory role 1) Financial statements 2002 Committees of the Supervisory Board Report of the Supervisory Board of Rabobank Nederland 7 corporate governance, including that of Rabobank.The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board together are currently examining the extent to which application of the principles of the code is feasible and desirable within Rabobank Nederland. Any changes to the articles of association and the regulations as a result of this are expected to be submitted for discussion to the General Meeting of Shareholders for 2005. In the past year, the Supervisory Board focused on the performance of its supervisory duties, i.e. the supervision of the Executive Board's policy and the general conduct of affairs at Rabobank Nederland and its affiliated entities. In addition, the Supervisory Board regularly served as a sounding board for the Executive Board. Besides all the usual issues dealt with by the Supervisory Board, the following subjects deserve special mention. To facilitate the Supervisory Board's review of the 2002 financial state ments, intensive preparatory work was done once again by the Audit Committee, including a detailed discussion of the management letter.
