At the end of October 2010, Rabobank
participated in the Swift International
Banking Operations Seminar (Sibos),
a leading annual financial event.
The congress brought together the
world's leading financial figures and
companies to create opportunities
for individuals, organisations and the
community as a whole. The conference
covered three prominent themes in
today's market: regulation, rebuilding
trust and recovery.
Rabobank was represented by depart-
ments from Rabobank Nederland and
Rabobank International, and operated
a booth staffed by experts from the
participating departments. Ineke Busse-
maker, Head of Payment Services
Rabobank Nederland, was one of the
key speakers at the conference. She
gave a presentation about sustain-
ability, titled 'Doing Good is Good for
Business'. She explained how sustain-
able business strategies are not only
helping save our planet's resources
but are also rebuilding trust within
the financial sector.
During the first evening Rabobank hosted
a cliënt event for over 130 Rabobank
relations in the Van Gogh Museum in
Amsterdam. Arjo Blok, Global Head of
Global Financial Markets, welcomed the
guests with a speech in which he com-
pared the qualities of Rabobank with
Vincent van Gogh. The event was attended
by senior representatives from leading
banks and clearing houses from around
the world and was very well received.
Next year Rabobank will be present at
Sibos 2011 in Toronto with a booth and
a cliënt event.

Rabobank dient Raben Group
was awarded a special Sustain-
able Entrepreneurship prize at
the Dutch-Polish Trade Awards
(DPTA) ceremony. CEO Ewald
Raben picked up the award,
which was handed out by Jacek
Bartkiewicz, Chairman of Bank
BGZ, part of RI's R&R network.
The jury, which included
Rabobank's Rural Retail MT
member Sander Pruijs as Chair
man, were impressed with
Raben's efforts to reduce its
carbon footprint and its contri-
bution to Polish society, not least
because of its reputation as a
good employer.
The DPTA is a joint initiative of
the Dutch-Polish Trade Promo
tion Centre and the Dutch-
Polish Chamber of Commerce
in Warsaw. Rabobank is one
of the main sponsors of the
initiative. Additionally, Rabobank
co-sponsored the Nyenrode
Studiefonds to execute the
company analysis on sustaina-
bility. The students of Nyenrode
University in Holland, together
with students from Poland, had
conducted a joint research of
companies with regards to CSR.
The strategy of Corporate Social
Responsibility and the way of
running the company resulted
in the nomination and consecu-
tive winning of the "Sustainable
Entrepreneurship Award" by
Raben Group.

Thethemeof thisyear's annual meeting, was the 'Asia-lution of the
F&A value chain', and the changing face of the global F&A value chain.
Sipko Schat, Executive Board member of Rabobank Group, kicked
offwitha brief overview of the recent developments in Rabobank
and shared his perspectives on the economie outlook and challenges
ahead. The meeting then focused on different segments of the F&A
value chain, with invited speakers and FAR presenting their own
perspectives on the changes in the F&A value chain.
After lunch, the meeting turned to how Rabobank is adapting its
strategy to accommodate the changes in the F&A value chain,
followed by a moderated discussion, in which the advisory board
members were asked for their advice on Rabobank's strategie direc-
tion. Clients remarked that a consistent delivery in services when
dealing with Rabobank would be important as well as sharing our
global knowledge and network with them.
