On 15 and 16 June, Rabobank Internationals Capital Markets
Group co-sponsored the Global ABS 2010 Conference in
London.
The conference provides Rabobank with a unique opportunity
to present its capabilities in the securitisation arena and demon-
strate its commitment to this product, which is key to the overall
functioning of the capital markets. The conference targets
corporate and financial issuers/clients, global financial institu-
tions, and investors who participate in the public, private and
asset backed commercial paper markets, in which our global
Securitisation team plays an important role.
Rabobank's Capital Markets Group operated a stand during the
conference, showcasing our team and its capabilities. Further-
more they hosted a cliënt event on the evening of 15 June on
the roof terrace of Rabobank's London office. The invitees, in
addition to bankers throughout the Rl global network, are
corporate and Fl clients, financial counterparties, investors, and
other professional service providers who are key to the team's
success. It was a perfect network opportunity for creating and
increasing cliënt intimacy and to express the team's gratitude.
Mark D. O'Keefe, Head of the European Securitisation Group
(ESG), Björn Alink and Jacob Binnema, senior members of the
Utrecht contingent of ESG, spoke on 4 separate panels focusing
on securitisation as a funding tooi, rebuilding investor confi-
dence, securitisation in emerging markets and the securitisation
of corporate trade receivables.

This year the Giro d'ltalia cycling race
began in the Netherlands, with the
second stage finishing in Utrecht,
in front of Rabobank's head office.
Rabobank International hosted
a very successful dient event, with
more than 80 clients from large
corporates, F&A companies and
financial institutions in attendance.
Sander Pruijs, regional head Whole
sale The Netherlands, hosted the
day. "The strong Rabobank team
in the Giro can be seen as a good
metaphor for the strength of the
bank at large," Pruijs said. "Certainly
when you iook at recent develop-
ments in the European Union,
acting like a united and strong team
is more important than ever. Our
cooperative values strong ly support
this desirable behaviour and natu-
rally they have been key in the way
we have been banking over the last
couple of years."
Heieen Crielaard, head of spon
sorship at Rabobank the Nether
lands, gave a presentation about
Rabobank and cycling. "Rabobank's
sponsorship strategy is based on
two pillars: sport and culture. Within
sport we focus on cycling, hockey
and equestrian sports. There are two
important reasons for sponsoring:
supporting the core values of the
bank and creating cliënt relationship
marketing opportunities."
Harold Knebel, chairman of
Rabobank's Cycling Team, said that
the Giro d'ltalia was great experi-
ence for the team ahead of other
big events, such as the Tour de
France.theTourofCalifornia and
the Tour de Poland.
