In February, Rabobank Indonesia launched Tabungan Mantap,
a term-savings product that responds to customers' request
for longer term and more flexible savings products. Tabungan
Mantap was launched during cliënt events at six major cities
throughout Indonesia: Medan, Lampung, Jakarta, Bandung,
Semarang, and Surabaya. Each event brought together around
300-500 existing and potential customers, providing an excel
lent way to strengthen existing customer relationships while
developing new customer relationships.
The introduction of Tabungan Mantap is in line with Rabobank
Indonesia's business strategy to grow third party funds through
savings account products. Tabungan Mantap enables customers to
secure their future goals by giving them the flexibility to choose
both the amount they save each month, as well as the length of
the savings period. Additionally, account holders are offered free
life insurance coverage and total cover for permanent disability due
to sickness and accident. The product is designed to respond to a
variety of needs in a customer's life, including planning for an educa-
tion fund, starting a family, or renovating a house.
In March, Rabobank GFM
hosted a cliënt event at
Indoor Brabant, an inter
national horse show held
annually in Den Bosch,
the Netherlands. As one
of the biggest sponsors of
Dutch equestrian sports,
Rabobank continues to be
actively involved with the
Royal Dutch Equestrian
Federation, the KNEHS. A
few years ago, for example,
Rabobank and the KNHS
developed an ambitious
talent development project,
the Rabo Talent Plan.
During the recently-held
event in Den Bosch,
Rabobank's GFM was host
to a variety of clients, inclu
ding representatives from
pension funds, insurance
companies, and asset
managers. Rabobank
Grootbedrijf also enter-
tained a variety of clients,
including CEOs and CFOs
from the MidCap sector.
The day gave Rabobank
the oppor-tunity to
develop cliënt intimacy
in a relaxed social setting.
