Tour de France 2009
WWJuly 2009
More than 100 clients from countries
such as Germany, the Netherlands,
Russia, New Zealand and Ireland were
invited by Rabobank International to
experience the closing weekend of
the Tour de France in Paris. During the
Rl network event, Managing Board
member Berry Marttin explained RI's
strategy for the coming years, the
strengths of our bank, especially in
the global F&A chain and why the
long-term relationship with clients
is so important for Rabobank.
Marttin's speech was very upbeat. He
created parallels between the essence
ofgood cycling, team spirit and the
way Rabobank operates in the inter
national business field. Although this
was not the best Tour for the Rabobank
riders, the closing weekend was lit up
by the victory of rider Juan Manuel
Garate, who fïnished first in the 20th
stage at the Mont Ventoux.
