Client GolfTournament
On the 17th of April, Rabobank hosted the West Coast
Rabobank GolfOuting for Clients on the grounds of the
Mission Hills Country Club Rancho Mi rage, California.
This was the secondyearofthe event, which was again
very successful. In total 148 clients attended the event,
the majority of them coming from Southern California.
The day was about strengthening relationships with
clients. All three Rabobank divisions in the Americas
were represented: Rabobank N.A., RaboAgriFinance
and Rabobank International's Corporate Bank.
tournament. "I had a superb game and made some very
good contacts. I would like to thank my Rabobank relation-
ship manager, Mr. Richard Lee, for extending the invitation to
me and I am already looking forward to the next Rabobank
GolfTournament!"
The tournament was held at the Sentosa Golf Club's Tanjong
Course, which is reputably one of the best golfcourses in
Singapore, a fact confirmed by many of our cliënt golfers.
Mr. Robert W. de Bruin, Vice President for Marketing Opera-
tions, HPC, South East Asia Australasia, Unilever Asia Private
Limited, concluded: The course was fantastic, we had
wonderful weather and friendly company. All in all, I enjoyed
myself tremendously."
"It was a refreshing change to relax and catch up with the
Rabobank relationship managers in a social setting likethis.
We got to know more about each other, not only on
a business level, but also on a personal level. I also relished
the opportunity to meet some new friends and potential
business contacts today", noted Mr. Chan Fook Kong, Exe-
cutive Director for Jaya Holdings Ltd. He was also one of the
big winners that night taking home not only the 'Nearest
to Pin' novelty prize, but also third prize in the lucky draw.
Providing a networking opportunity to meet some good
business contacts was precisely one of the reasons why the
Singapore branch holds thisannual golf tournament for their
clients, thanking them was another. "Rabobank in Singapore
has continued to grow stronger year after year, and our
clients have played an important role in making this possible.
This golf tournament was one of the many cliënt events we
organised throughout the year to thank all of our clients
for their continuous support and strong belief in us. I am
delighted that our customers said that the event was very
well managed and that they had a great time", explained
General Manger for Singapore Mr. Goh Chong Theng.
The golf tournament saw attendees not only from Singa
pore, but also from abroad. CapitaLand Senior Vice President,
Mr. Tan Poh Teek, is currently based in the Middle East, and
had flown to Singapore specifïcally to participate in the golf

With great weather conditions, a
perfect golfcourse and a delightful
barbeque lunch prior to the game,
things could not have tumed
out better. The West Coast Client
GolfTournament again resulted
in a great opportunity to spend
extended amounts of time with Ra
bobank clients on the West Coast
of the United States. Rabobank's
Relationship Managers were able
to learn more about their clients,
their business and their strategies
going forward.
'This is the second year that we
have hosted the West Coast
Rabobank GolfOuting for clients",
says Brad Scott, Managing Director,
who heads up Corporate Bank
ing for the Western U.S., "and we
found it to be an even more suc
cessful event this time". "Not only
is it a nice opportunity to do some-
thing fun with our clients; it's also
an excellent way to strengthen our
cliënt relationships and to encour-
age networking amongst all Ra
bobank divisions - Corporate Bank,
Rabo AgriFinance, and Rabobank,
N.A. - which enhances cross-selling.
Our clients were highly apprecia-
tive and are already making plans
for next year's tournament."
