Rabobank has been operating in Chile since 1994. But the realisation slowly grew that the company
should take a firmer position in this economically promising region. This resulted in the takeover of
the locally respected HNS Banco on 30 April 2007. Thos Gieskes, CEO of Rabobank Chile, explains
