Rabobank International's (Rl) annual Exchange Conference was held
in The Hague on April 24-25, 2007. Hot topics included solvency,
strategy, RI's culture and talent development - sharing information
and aligning ideas was the order of the day.
Launched with a dinner, the one-and-a-half-day conference brought
together 50 of the global business heads, general managers of the
international offices and all members of the MBRI. Rl Chairman
Hans ten Cate opened the conference with a presentation on
developments within the Rabobank Group and Rl in 2006 and 2007.
The Chairman's main message on solvency issues was clear: 'we
must keep within the solvency budget by being more selective in
clients and deals. We won't accept any excess in limits.'
A total of ten sessions were held at the conference, with talent
development as another focus area. Michael Hollander led the
presentation, stressing 'the importance of identifying, developing
and sharing talents to take our organisation forward.' RI's culture was
also an important item on the agenda, which included an interactive
survey of participants' perceptions of the company culture.
Rob ten Heggeler and Diane Boogaard also gave presentations at
the conference in their respective areas of expertise. Read more
about this inside the issue.
