Behind the scenes
Dear colleagues,
2006 is truly a milestone year for
Rabobank, We will celebrate several
important anniversaries, and
recognise the groups that made
them possible,
This issue of The Word is dedicated to
our colleagues in the Americas, whose
hard work and commitment have
brought significant growth and
change to our company. We've
chosen the colleagues on the cover as
an example of the special contribution
made to this achievement.
The cover features Maria Jose Arza, who shares responsibility with colleagues across
the Americas for a streamlined, cross-border Electronic Term Sheet (ETS). The ETS is a
tangible example of how offices and teams across the Americas work together to reach
a common goal. Read about the success of this project on pages 24-26.
Standing with Maria is Charles Hallock, one of Rabobank's original U.S. employees, who
recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with Rabobank. He is an Industry Specialist in
the area of Grains and Oilseeds and is an integral part of the Corporate Banking group.
Charles' input and commitment to Rabobank are the symbols of our staying power.
Lastly, we see Auke Cnossen, a relatively recent addition to the Americas team. Auke
began his career with Rabobank as an Intern in 2004. Today he is a Senior Associate
with the Mergers Acquisitions Group, working on Financial Sponsors transactions.
Auke and other new employees like him represent the future prosperity we are all
working so hard to achieve.
In this special issue, you will learn about the ways we have achieved such significant
growth in the Americas. From the innovative ideas in South America to the strategies
that are making business boom elsewhere in the region, the rapid growth we have
seen in the Americas is a model for us all.
I hope you enjoy this issue, and my very best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2006.
