The women's organization Working
Women's Forum has been assisted by
Rabobank Foundation for 25 years. It was
created after a mud-slide in Madras caused
the wide-spread poverty to worsen. At
that time, 800 women gathered together
to form a co-operative. Through the co-
operative, small groups of women could
access credit to undertake activities such
as weaving and biddi-rolling which would

mark the occasion, Rabobank colleagues and members have
been offered the chance to personally experience the effect of
Rabobank Foundation's work and be artistically inspired by the
many people who benefit from the Foundation's support. Many
very highly talented photographers, writers and painters have
sent in examples of their work and their motivations to spend
about 10 days in Flonduras, India or Egypt. Rabobank Foundation
is pleased by the number and quality of submissions; workshops
are currently being held to select the final candidates.

extended its network into the countryside thereby increasing the
number of members to 700,000. In addition to financing, Rabobank
Foundation provides assistance with the development of financial
services, as well as administrative and technical assistance.
