of Corporate Finance,
Machiel Jansen Schoonhoven,
to discover what role the
department plays, its recent
achievements and what's in
store for the future.
eadquartered in Utrecht, Corporate Finance consists
of over 130 Rabobankers located in bondon, New
York, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dublin, Paris,
Frankfurt, Milan and Madrid. In order to ensure clients
get the kind of products they need, Corporate Finance is
split into three distinct teams: Structured Finance,
Leveraged Finance and Project Finance. 'Structured
Finance is what we call "made to measure" finance,
whereby we create financial solutions for a client's specific
needs,' explains Jansen Schoonhoven. 'These clients are
usually large corporates, governments and professional
financial institutions, where complex tax and accounting
elements sometimes come into play. Our Structured
Finance teams consist of professionals who are expert in
the field of tax, legal and accountancy; they ensure that
transactions are structured in a solid way for both the
cliënt and the bank itself.'
