RIAS - in the field
Throughout Rabobank's long history, social responsibility has played
a key role. So it's no surprise that the Group has a well established
organization dedicated to sharing its extensive knowledge and
experience.
Founded in 19H9, Rabo International
Advisory Services (RIAS) facilitates
the transfer of Rabobank's expertise
within the Dutch financial, agribusiness
and cooperative sectors to countries
and organizations outside the
Netherlands. Focusing on, although not
exclusively, the emerging markets of
Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe,
RIAS provides consultancy, management
support and training. To capitalize on
business in today's economy, many rural
retail banks and cooperatives need to
implement new governance structures,
use better risk management strategies
and offer new products - and that's
where RIAS comes in.
