days, the theme for the conference 'Cotton

several perspectives. RI was ready to con-
tribute its own expertise and knowledge,
with key note addresses from Cor
Broekhuyse, Australia Group's chief exec-
utive officer, Andrew Dorman, F&A risk
management specialist, and Adrian de
Young, cotton's global industry specialist.
In his presentation at the main conference
dinner, Broekhuyse acknowledged the
benefits of globalization but highlighted
the risks that were associated with it, in-
cluding price, currency, transfer and politi-
cal risks. 'As in other industries, the as-

Rabobank has been judged the most solid private bank in the world, according to the
authoritative magazine, Global Finance. Each year the magazine ranks the world
largest 300 financial institutions to determine which are the 'World's Safest Banks'.
Based on balance sheet totals and credit-worthiness (as judged by Standard Poor's,
Moody's and Fitch IBCA), Rabobank was ranked first among private banks. The other
top challengcrs, all German nationals, fall under control of the Gerntan federal govern-
ment and therefore profit indirectly from their triple-A status. Of those, only the Bay-
erische Landesbank slightly exceeded Rabobank in balance sheet total.
