Talking heads bows out the back page IAMA - world event Winning teams After more than three years on our back cover, the Talking Heads series is being replaced by a new regular feature called, yes, you guessed it: The back page. When the organization was still very small and national offices tended to focus more on local business, the Talking Heads series was a useful way of getting to know senior management located around the world. Now we are a much more networked, our needs have changed. From this issue - and anticipating changes we will be introducing over the next few issues in response to the Readers'survey on What's NewS - we will be using this page to spotlight major events and offsites to keep you up to speed on what's happening on the Rabobank International scene. Every year, F&A's global professional body, the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IAMA), brings together the industry's top at the co-called World Congress. F&A academies, professionals and senior managers met this year in Italy's Florence to explore the links between trade, technology and competitiveness. But the congress, with RI as one of the top sponspors and a cluster of international Rabobankers (Frans van Bijsterveld, Larissa Taylor and Bruce Tozer) participating as moderators and panelists, is more than a platform for exchanging views at top level. A comprehensive training program is also part of the association's offcring. For more information on LAMAcheck out page 11. The Rabobank building in Utrecht was the venue for the Dutch Hockey Federation's annual gathering. As main sponsors of the sport in the Netherlands, RI was happy to host an event which marked one of the most successful in the Federation's history. As you may remember, the World Championships were organized successfully in the Netherlands last year. Building on that - especially financial - success, the federation is now focusing on a strategie growth scenario of 30 percent over the next 10 years for Dutch hockey clubs. Says Henk Gentis, who himself is a keen hockey fan, 'this kind of event meshes perfectly with our approach to sponsoring. We're not only here to supply money. We're also supporting sustainable strategie development of the game both here in Holland and around the world.'
