One of his previous positions was with ING as their Moscow general manager, a post from which he walked away with a prestigious 'best foreign bank in Russia'award.Surinam- born, Pronk is a Dutch national with more than 15 years of banking expertise behind him. Aside from establishing new operations in emerging markets, other areas of specialization include trade finance and fixed people *)- Maarten Pronk income securities. Russia he views as a continent with 'tremendous potential.' He feels the Russian market is not merely exciting, it is also significant.'To be doing business for the Rabobank in Russia is for me living through an historie process.' Manfred Schneider has been promoted general manager of the Frankfurt Branch. India has new managing directors in Ashok Kapur, also coördinator of the managing board and Anton Nillesen. Anton comes from the former Rabobank Deutschland. Indonesia Twan Geurts has been appointed senior project manager Agri Project Finance.Twan comes from Utrecht Branch. Netherlands Barbara Carroll has been appointed global administration officer investment banking. She will be a member of the global management team administration as well as the management team investment banking and will be located in both Utrecht and London.Within Utrecht branch Jan Bausch has been appointed teamleader of the market core team other corporates. Jan comes from the aerospace desk. Rolf Michon also joins this team as account manager. Roland van Limburg Stirum has been appointed senior manager with the export finance aerospace desk. Ronald comes from account managent financial institutions and before was stationed in Milan.Agri Project Finance has a new colleague in Hans van de Weerd Jr. Private banking has been strengthened with senior advisor Carola Oomen, who comes from the Trust. Also Marjan Schoemaker changed jobs and left Rabo Securities to take up a position as account manager F&A.Carolien van Eggermond left the bank. Rectificatiomas mentioned last month Engel Koolhaas has not been appointed with agri project finance, but with the project finance team within corporate finance. Singapore has new colleagues in Chen Cheah Seng and Charley Seliang as senior manager treasury, respectively manager at the treasury's sales department. Charley rejoined the bank, as he was already working in Singapore and Indonesia some time ago. Catherine Sew Wan has been appointed head of risk credit with Rabobank Asia Ltd. UK Paul Harvey has been appointed head of central bank sales for global short-term interest rate and FX products. Global fixed income products has a new business manager in Shane Mul vihill. New head of the global equity derivatives group's product management is Masahiko Inui Rick Llewellyn and Greville Billyard join the syndications department within corporate finance as associate director and deputy manager - agency respectively. Franz Maier takes up a position as director global market risk control within the global equity derivates group. Capital markets has a new colleague in David Brown and Jason van Praagh is the new head of the Yen and USD Bloc of global short-term interest rate products. The asset swaps/credit derivatives desk have a new co-head in George Christopoulos. USA In the Chicago office ScottTaylor has been appointed manager APFT US and Canada. Before Scott was account manager F&A in Dallas. In New York Arjan Breure joined the M&A/corporate advisory services department. Corporate finance has a new colleague in Scott Rickman as associate in the private placement group. New in the treasury department are Franco Marisco as foreign exchange trader and Denise Felice as money market trader. San Francisco's Bill Bishop left the bank. Earns a brokerage for the service which is either a percentage of the contract value or a fixed tariff. Brokers are usually called in because they have specialized knowledge of a sector or market. equities: stocks and shares in publicly listed companies on any exchange in the world. franchise: an area in which you have acknowledged expertise, such as F&A. market-maker: a dealer in securities who undertakes to buy and sell these at prices and time announced in advance. In addition, they attempt to make a profit by dealing in securities as principals as well as acting as agents working for commission. Chinese wall: a notional information barrier between parts of a business, especially between the market-making and broking parts of an investment banking activity. primary and secondary business: primary means new issues, either for existing listed companies or for companies going public. Secondary is the day-to-day trading.
