Roest, is one of the local

have been in business for
almost a century, as has
Rabobank Leusden. In this
way, the participants in the

Network Development and

When is a word not a word?
When it means something else
in either American or British
English.or just something else.
All clear? Well, perhaps not. For
your perusal here a number of
terms that may mean
something to you, or may not...
Affinity card better known as a
charity card in the UK,this
credit card is issued to
members of a club,college, etc.
In Britain, it is always linked to
some kind of charitable
donation, hence the name.
Bond washing more usually
called dividend stripping, or
perhaps its the other way
around.The practice of buying
gilts after they have gone ex-
dividend and selling them cum-
dividend just before the next
payment is due.(This clearly
requires a knowledge of Latin...)
Bill broker is also known as a
discount broker and buys bills
of exchange from traders to sell
to banks and discount houses.
Alternatively, he/she may hold
them until maturity.
Dollar stocks are actually US or
Canadian securities.
Early bargains or after-hour
deals, depending on how you
lookatit.Theseare
transactions on the London
exchange after it has closed
officially for the day.That's why
they're recorded as part of the
next day's trading.
Non-amortizing mortgage
sounds much more fun than a
balloon mortgage, don't you
think? With a balloon
mortgage, a lump sum has to
be repaid at the end of the term
to cover the remaining debt.
Notice in lieu of distringas
sorry,couldn't resist testing
your Latin once again...this old-
style court procedure is now
known more prosaically as a
stop notice. It protects
shareholders who have not
been registered as company
members.
