What's NewS Issue 1 January 1997
The new name for a revamped foreign offices department expresses more clearly the tasks allocated to the
team headed up by Bram Kruimel. 'We hope that our colleagues worldwide will quickly discover that NDS is not
just a new name for old activities/ he says. 'Some of our activities may sound familiar, but the team's aim is to
give them new content - a move that has been motivated in part by the cliënt focus strategy.'

7. Hans van de Weerd Sr., 8. Jacques Rijsenbilt, 9. Piejo Bruijn, 10. Anneke Broere, 11. Nicolienne van

NDS's tasks fall into a number of
categories. The team is responsible for
initiating policy, like when and where
we have to extend our international
network
budgetplanning and monitoring
feasibility studies
start-ups for new offices
general support
internal communication
consultancy/advisory on special
projects or issues
Says Kruimel: 'What we have done is to
structure various activities into a rounded
framework. At present, these can be
subdivided into:
liaison, primary contact for head office
and branches regarding the
international network
start-u p studies
service centre, a.o. administration,
organizing conferences and visiting
programs
specific tasks, including manuals;
treasury policies; meetings; euro
coordination.'
The NDS team is pictured above.
Unfortunately, Cees van Rest, José Bours,
Peter Heijne, Christine Maarse and Lagon
van Staalduinen were out of the office
when we shot the picture.

The Dutch men's hockey team reached the highest track record
possible in 1996 by winning the prestigious Champions Trophy last
December in Madras (India). Adding more success to their becoming
the Olympic Champion. These results are a major stimulance for the
1998 World Championships in Utrecht, one of the main focal points
of our sponsoring agreement with the Dutch Royal Hockey
Federation (KNHB).
