The agri-research department's sector and country studies have long been

RaboCom, a new quarterly publication
which rolls off the presses for the first time
at the end of October, is the brainchild of
the global media and telecommunications
group. lts aim is to show clients the level of
our expertise in this very dynamic field. 'It's
also a way to help us develop our own
fcision of the future,' says Jerry van
Kaathoven of the team's Urrecht-based unit.
INFO-PACKED REPORT
RaboCom looks like a magazine - a
specially-designed front cover with just a
hint of gloss sets it apart from run-of-the-
mill reports. lts content is also reminiscent
of a professional journal. 'That may be

BALANCED CONTENT
For the debut issue, the team has focused
on Europe. But the next issue of
RaboCom is already in the pipeline with

Kaathoven. 'In the future, we'11 be looking
to a balanced content with contributions
from Singapore and other units around
the world. We believe that RaboCom can
also prove a very useful marketing tooi.'
Distribution of the publication will be
handled from regional databases
maintained in Utrecht, Chicago and
Singapore branches. However, each office
in the network will receive a number of
copies for marketing purposes. Van
Kaathoven, Van Eyk and colleague
Alexander Gelderman are currently
putting the final touches to the first
'report' - be on the look out for

Rabo Securities launched a unique
investment product on October 2. Called
the 'Sprinter', it combines a zero-coupon for
triple-A rated EBRD (European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development) of NLG
150 million and an investment in the so-
called Dutch Publishers Index, which
comprises the Netherlands' top four
corporates in this sector and is compiled
and published by Amsterdam's EOE.The
