Ukraine in Utrecht UNICO - TRAINING FOR THE FUTURE International Program 1996 KcMZ/i, WHAT'S NewS Issue 7 November 1995 short news 15 HNh The bank played host to a top level Ukrainian trade mission to the Netherlands recently. Deputy econ- omics minister with special responsibility for the agroindustrial sector, Mr Poshivaylo V. Konstantino- vich and a number of senior civil servants heard a presentation on how the cooperative Rabobank is organized. Tt was a really useful meeting,' says inter- national's Hans Megens, who gave the overview of the bank's structure and strategies, both domestic and global. 'At present, we work in the Ukraine through correspondent banks, but it is certainly an interesting potential market for us, so meeting these top people helps pave the way for possible future cooperation.' The international division's Central and Eastern Euro- pean specialist, Jaap Kool, will be visiting the Ukraine early in the new year. The Amsterdam-based Unico Banking Group is an organiz- ation of seven top European cooperative banks. One of its main activities is to develop UNICO BANKING GROUP Confertnces, s«mln«r« «nd workshops UNICO BANKING INSTITUTE quality training programs to complement those on offer in- house by the individual banks. The program for the coming year is now available and comprises a broad range of seminars, workshops and con ferences in an equally wide range of banking and related areas. The aim of Unico is to promote cooperation between its member banks. As a result, networking is considered one of the training institute's primary aims as its programs bring together cooperative bankers from all over Europe, including Central and Eastern Europe.
