The bank played host to a top level Ukrainian trade
mission to the Netherlands recently. Deputy econ-
omics minister with special responsibility for the
agroindustrial sector, Mr Poshivaylo V. Konstantino-
vich and a number of senior civil servants heard a
presentation on how the cooperative Rabobank is
organized. Tt was a really useful meeting,' says inter-
national's Hans Megens, who gave the overview of
the bank's structure and strategies, both domestic and
global. 'At present, we work in the Ukraine through
correspondent banks, but it is certainly an interesting
potential market for us, so meeting these top people
helps pave the way for possible future cooperation.'
The international division's Central and Eastern Euro-
pean specialist, Jaap Kool, will be visiting the Ukraine
early in the new year.

The program for the coming
year is now available and
comprises a broad range of
seminars, workshops and con
ferences in an equally wide
range of banking and related
areas. The aim of Unico is to
promote cooperation between
its member banks. As a result,
networking is considered one
of the training institute's
primary aims as its programs
bring together cooperative
bankers from all over Europe,
including Central and Eastern
Europe. If you would like a
