WHAT'S NewS Issue 1 April! 995
(competition)
It's new, it's competitive, and it
could be yours. We're talking
about the newly introduced
Deal of the Month. CBS's man
agement committee will select
the winner each month and de
tails will be published in
What's NewS. If you think you
have a potential winner, then
check its structure against the
following criteria and send it
in. What the adjudicators will
be looking for is a combi-
nation of the following:
innovative;
- creative;
- profitable;
complex;
- tailored to client's specific
needs;
where possible making use
of networking between in
ternational offices, other
CBS divisions and/or mem-
ber banks.
At the end of each year, the
winning deals will be entered
for the Deal of the Year
Award. Please send your en-
tries to Noor Tania, Marketing
Services, UCB 652.
davis cup
In early April, around 300 Rabobank customers were invited to attend the prestigious
Davis Cup event between the Netherlands and Germany, featuring such top tennis names
as Becker, Stich, Haarhuis and Krajicek.
Eighteen VIP boxes and a hos-
pitality room had been reserv-
ed specially for CBS clients,
with four allocated to the
Frankfurt and other interna
tional offices. Tournaments
such as the Davis Cup are ideal
venues for promoting informal
contacts between clients. For
this reason, a specially selected
program is put together every
year comprising high profile,
quality events which will ap-
peal to clients. These can range
from classical concerts and
musicals to sports meetings.
The Davis Cup tournament
was particularly successful for
the bank, although less so for
the Dutch team. Becker and
Stich were in top form and
beat their neighbours with re-
lative ease. But the crowd still
cheered - especially when the
Ajax football team arrived to
watch. 'Whatever the final out-
come,' one cliënt remarked,
'we've had a wonderful time.
It was an exciting, world-class
competition and typically a
Rabobank event - informal,
friendly and not least construc-
tive.'
