Some of the thingsyou always wanted to know about the house-style, but were af raid to ask.. Rabobank =0» J I <0 Q The guy in the pie - is that ail it is? Q Did our clients really feel the need for a new house-style? Q isn't NLG 68 million a lot of money to be spending at a time when we're busy cutting costs and staff? Who's who competition Who's who? My answer to who's who? piP y,°ö 6Ö AA>UU'oM ■^uiup wjy VéRVS PgclAL- A Absolutely not. But it is the heart of the matter. Everything depends on how you use the symbol. It aims to show we put people first. However, it won't work unless we all pull together to prove that to clients. -fut OMLY IF "YoO WANT To TodcH HIM.Ma'A* A They certainly did. We were often told our look was pretty dated and hardly an image for the next century. And, after 22 years, it was about time to make a real change - after all, no one's wearing the same clothes they wore in the 1970s. >yv%WwV-»o^-»" it woduo MAve cost e<SGtJ fAo&t if 1 mapm't voLi/tireepep as the Movtu." A It certainly is a lot of money. But if you consider we're a large organization of over 2,000 offices, more than 35,000 employees and around five million clients, then the cost becomes almost negligible. It works out to about NLG 35,000 per office. If we look at dep- reciation over seven years, then we find it is actually less than 0.2 percent of costs. You should really see it as an investment in the Rabobank brandname. THAT Spending NLG 68 million on a new house-style is bound to raise eyebrows and just as many questions. House-style designers Newell Sorrell have come up with a fun way to answer these - the above cartoons are taken from a book that will be published in Dutch to coincide with the launch. Plans are in the pipeline for an English edition - but here'sa sneak preview. If you enterthe com petition, your own cartoon may be among them... If you can think up a funny (and printable) answer, just com plete the coupon below and send it, before January 31, to Rabo bank Nederland, Communication Division, UC-B 561 The30mostorig- inal entries will re- ceive a prize from the newsun-dial range of corporate gifts.
