The impressive head office in Utrecht has accommodation for more than 2,000 employees KïlUU Rabobank Nederland operates from two head offices in the Nether lands, one in Eindhoven and one in Utrecht, and from eight re- gional offices. The activities in Eindhoven are aimed at providing support for the local banks in the Netherlands. Utrecht acts as a policy centre. Among other things, the Executive Board, various staff departments and the Central Banking Business are located there. An inside view of a striking building. Issue 7/September 21, 1990 The staff restaurant is one of the largest in the Netherlands. Around 2,000 people lunch there daily. A hot or cold meal is made up on a self service basis. The eye-catching architecture set many tongues wagging at the time of the opening. The Utrecht head office was one of the first buildings in the Netherlands to have reflecting glass waits. One of the departments where a lot of activity is in evidence: the dealing room. Thousands of postal items find their way to customers and colleagues via the mailroom. The building is close to the railway station and is therefore readiiy access- ible for both the employees and the many visitors. Utrecht is situated in the centre of the Netherlands and has good Communica tions with many towns and Schiphol Airport. Visitors and employees ar- riving by car can park in the underground garages. The cubes at the foot of the building are intensive- ly used meeting rooms. Cleaning the glass waits involves many man-hours.
