0n 1 February Oet Bakker joined the In
ternational Division as head of the North
and South Europe Country Desk. He was
with another Dutch bank: ABN from 1973
onwards. He succeeds Maus Barendrecht
who was appointed head of Rabobank's re
presentatie office in Madrid in September

Henk Visser (45) was appointed a
member of the Executive Board of Rabo
bank Nederland as from 1 February. Visser
studied macro-economics in Amsterdam
and joined Rabobank in 1971 as a mem
ber of the Economie Research Depart-
ment's staff. Two years later he became
head of that department. From 1975 on
wards he worked in the Corporate Banking

The international Division of Rabo
bank Nederland has expanded rapidly in
recent years and so has the need for qual-
ified, well-trained management in the dif
ferent foreign-based offices. Therefore,
Rabobank Nederland and its subsidiary
Raibobank do Brasil Ltda., have devel-
oped a one-year intensive training pro-
gramme to prepare talented young man
agers for future leadership positions in
Latin America.
Berry Marttin will be the first international
trainee to start this programme geared to
Karei Plasman was appointed General
Manager on January 1. Until then he was
Head of Commercial Services.
At the same time Ronny Noerens, whose
position was Head of Account Manage
ment, was appointed Head of Commercial
Services.
In addition, Gilbert Reyns joined the Ant
werp Branch on January 1 as Head of Ac
count Management.
Wim T'Joen and Karl Stoops were ap
pointed Account Managers on February 1.

Berry, 24, is a Bra-
zilian bom in Sao
Paulo. He speaks
the Dutch language
very well, because
his parents are both
from Holland. Berry
graduated in Busi
ness Administration at the 'Escola de Ad-
ministragao de Ampresas de Sao Paolo da
Fundacao Getülio Vargas' with specializa-
tion in Marketing, Finance and General Ad
ministration in 1987. He will stay for some
time at the Head Office of Rabobank Ne
derland in Utrecht.
Since the start of the Antwerp Branch
T'Joen has been responsible for the
financial administration, while Stoops
was for severai years Head of the Dutch
Desk.
Three employees of the Singapore
Branch have been promoted. Treasury Man
ager Lim Cheng Huat was appointed Assist-
ant General Manager. Biils Clerk Rowena
Loon is now Senior Biils Clerk and Telex Op
erator Emily Chen was appointed Settle-
ments Clerk.
