offices specializing in this part of the market were opened in Rotterdam
and The Hague (as of January 1,1985 in Utrecht, too). In order to increase
the company's quality of service courses and training programs have been
strongly expanded, and much attention has been given to the continued
process off computerization.
Despite extremely difficult market conditions in the construction industry,
Gebam was able to maintain its position and attain satisfactory results in
1984. We anticipate that, during the coming years, any growth in the
market will primarily take place in the renovation sector. In view of
Gebam's position in the market, the company should be able to benefit
from these developments.
During the past year much attention was paid to structural organization
policies and courses and training programs for our employees.
Furthermore, a number of procedures were streamlined in order to
improve communication with our clients.
Currently, a program is in preparation which will result in an extensive
computerization of the company, leading to an acceleration and
intensification of intra-company contact, and improved possibilities for
adjusting the activities of the various different company sectors to each
other.
